Breathtakingly beautiful, Mount Niseko measures 1,308 meters tall and sits in the pristine wilderness of the Niseko Mountain Range. And located in this range is Mount Yotei -- the Mount Fuji of Hokkaido, which can be viewed from Mount Niseko. Designated as a protected area, the landscape remains relatively untouched and is known as the powder destination of Japan. There are many trails for every level of skier, cross country skiing through forested valleys, guided snowshoe tours, and snowmobile adventures. Niseko Village is truly a winter paradise, and is often referred to as the hidden Shangri-La of skiing. The village also supports the preservation of Japan’s arts and cultures, with events and galleries providing for a rich cultural experience. Of course, no Japan adventure would be complete without the quintessential Japanese cultural pastime of the hot spring. These outdoor hot springs relax away stress and offer spectacular views of snow-covered boulders and pine trees. And as Niseko Village lies close to the Sea of Japan, the Pacific Ocean, and the Sea of Okhotsk, it hosts a plethora of fresh, delicious seafood. For any winter sports or nature enthusiast, Niseko Village is a must-see winter wonderland.
