Located 200 meters up on the edge of a cliff in western Iya Valley, the bronze statue of a boy seemingly urinating down onto the valley below is surely one of Iya Valley’s more unique attractions. The statue stands in what is regarded as perhaps the area’s most beautiful, picturesque and dangerous spot. In times gone by, children and travelers would urinate off the cliff’s edge to demonstrate their bravado. However, visitors today are discouraged from attempting this treacherous act.
