This observatory can be found at the "Mysterious" Lake Mashu in Akan Mashu National Park.
Located atop the Mashu/Kussharo caldera, it offers an almost 360-degree view, ideal for stargazing.
In clear weather, you can enjoy gazing at the stars from wherever you stand, without any tall mountains to obstruct your view. Lake Mashu is beautiful during the daytime, but the view of the starry night sky is a sight not to be missed.
