Beauty and Wonder at Mount Hachibuse
Nestled in the Chugoku mountain range sits Mount Hachibuse, which is sometimes referred to as the Hachibuse Highland and offers a magnificent panoramic view from its 1221 meter high peak. On a clear day, one of the most notable sights from the summit is Mount Daisen, a volcanic mountain which is the highest in the Chugoku region. During winter, Mount Hachibuse becomes one of the most popular skiing areas in mid-west Japan, and throughout the year visitors can enjoy various outdoor activities such as camping, mountain climbing and paragliding.
